Or maybe that should be A Rhad Tail (short, but cute) – or Rhadism.

Sigh - Rhad thinking it through
I made breakfast burritos this morning – and the dogs were underfoot, so I told them “Out of the Kitchen!” and got back to it. Not really paying attention, Rhad must have been in stealth mode – because he obviously slowly moved his bowl in the kitchen – and all of a sudden I feel him brush by my leg to shove it into the perfect spot to catch anything that might drop – then he looked up at me and backed out of the kitchen.
Yep, just another Rhad Tale.
Had to work at getting a couple of better shots of him:

Our One Year Old Blessing

And yes, the carrot is THE toy - you can take it if you toss it for him.
The stuffed carrot is his favorite at the moment – squeeking like mad and leaping about with it 2 minutes ago and now he’s crashed and is sound asleep. Happy Birthday, kiddo!

Life's Short - Choose the Big Dream When You Find It
Finally found a bit of time to process the photos from this week for Project 365 – taking a photo a day for a year. I’ve kept up with it, but a few days have not been the best, as my focus has been on other parts of the business, but I suppose that’s just a part of the whole process here – training myself to keep my eyes open and my camera handy.
And, just because – here’s another cute photo of Rhad from last night – he’s really starting to pose. I call his name with the camera up and he’ll look at me and hold the pose until the flash goes off. Such a good boy. Hard to believe he’s almsot 6 months old now!

I know what shots I want to get for some scrapbook pages, but Rhad isn’t cooperating. So the stories will have to suffice for now.
1. Ever since getting his adult set of teeth, he’s delighted himself by lying on his back and just snapping his jaw shut – makes such a great noise. But I can hardly even look at him – too much attention and he’ll stop in anticipation of “something new” to do.
2. Playing fetch with his bowl. Really. He brings it over, plays tug a bit with me, then gives it to me to slide across the carpet. Repeat. And again. And again. He’ll play with me until I pick up the camera, and then he starts to ‘pose’ – sigh. Oh, and if I put the bowls away (he eats in his crate) by the water dish, he’ll come and pick both of them up and carry them back to at least near his crate. (he’s playing with his bowl right now, sliding it all over the kitchen floor with an occasional toss for good measure and extra noise).
3. Tossing his favorite little red rubber bone in the air for himself. Ullr used to do this with pinecones outside – never could get a picture of that either. Again, too much attention stops the action. Cute, though.

And here, Taylor was getting up to top speed determined NOT to be herded by Rhad – though Rhad kept up with her pretty well.

No, not a snow shark - it's Rhad!
It’s the first time Rhad’s really experienced deep snow – we’re up to 16″ and another 7-11″ are expected tonight. It was a fun day of going out to blaze some trails for him so he wasn’t completely exhausted – and took the camera with me each time. More to come…
